Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road” became the longest-running number one singler on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. According to CNN, the rapper beat Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men song, “One Sweet Day.” He also beat former record-holder “Despacito” by Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee, featuring Justin Bieber. Carey congratulated Lil Nas X by editing a photo showing her passing the torch to the rapper. She said: “One Sweet Day will always hold a special place in my heart.”
