Lil Nas X broke the record for the longest-running streak on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. According to the Huffington Post, “Old Town Road” has been number one for 17 weeks. The record use to be held by “One Sweet Day” and “Despacito.” The rapper seemed confident in breaking the record a week before actually doing so. He wrote on Twitter: “What we doing to celebrate the billboard record when we break it y’all.”
