Coalition urges BOE to extend assessment deadline again

A community coalition is urging the Jackson County Board of Equalization to extend its deadline for filing a formal appeal of 2019-20 property assessments until Sept. 1. The Board already extended the deadline by three weeks, but several organizations that wasn’t enough time to help particularly minority and elderly property owners navigate the process.
