Water restored to much of Fort Lauderdale following widespread outage, official confirms

A city of Fort Lauderdale commissioner confirmed Thursday afternoon that water has been restored to much of the city after a contractor damaged a 42-inch water main. Commissioner Ben Sorensen said a short-term fix has been made to restore water. But he warns people may lose water service again as crews make long-term repairs.
