He continues the family trade started by his father: making violins
Mike Wrona's talent is making violins, not playing them. He says "Violin is a very difficult instrument to play. It's left many people broken and babbling by the side of the rode." Mike continues with a family business that was started more than six decades ago by his father Anthony. While Mike can do repairs, lately his focus has been on making the instruments. He says it can take up to four months to make a Mike Wrona original and it will sell for $6500 and adds "I'm very pleased with the results I've been getting on my instruments." Wrona's House of Violins features inexpensive beginner instruments that sell for a few hundred dollars as well as a number of well used pricey collectibles and everything in-between. Mike hired Glenn Miller to make violin bows. Glenn is a dealer of collectible guitars and a maker of well known popular guitars. Between Mike Wrona and Glenn Miller they have most string instruments covered. You can find them at Wrona's House Of Violins, 907 Escarpment Dr, Lewiston, NY 14092 or on the web.
