A former Las Vegas police officer is fighting to get his job back after an investigation revealed he waited for more than two minutes to confront the worst, single mass shooter in modern US history. The Las Vegas Police Protective Association President, Steve Grammas, says former officer Cordell Hendrex was fired earlier this year after a lengthy investigation. Grammas says media attention drew the department to look into Hendrex' response to the Las Vegas mass shooting on Oct. 1, 2017.
