Geek.com reports San Francisco is the first U.S. city to ban sales of e-cigarettes—battery-powered vaporizers that simulate smoking without burning tobacco.
As reported by Bloomberg, new restrictions would make it illegal to sell nicotine vaporizer products in stores, or for online retailers to ship the goods to San Francisco addresses. That’s bad news for local e-cigarette maker Juul Labs, which is said to have recently bought a 29-story office tower in the southern Financial District.
