Republican allies in Congres want to dismiss a new rape accusation against President Donald Trump. According to Politico, GOP supporters claim E. Jean Carroll wants to simply promote her new book. Sen. Thom Tillis referred to Kavanaugh hearings when referencing seeing false allegations. He said: “We’ll let the facts go where they are, but I take [Trump's] statement at face value.” Sen. John Kennedy said “the accuser and the accused need to be treated with respect.”
