Mary J. Blige Performs Own Tribute At BET Awards

Mary J. Blige received the lifetime achievement award at the BET Awards. According to CNN, the artist refers to herself as “a leader, a queen, a living legend.” Blige did her own tribute performance, offering a medley of her hits, like “Real Love” and “You Remind Me.” She had a throwback outfit with white short shorts, a backwards baseball cap and thigh high boots. Rihanna presented Blige the award, thanking her for her influence in the music industry.
