Blogger mum says social media has made her anxious

A blogger mum says social media gave her crippling anxiety - as life with a newborn was not as 'picture perfect' as Instagram made it appear.

Susan Mann, 41, said she had to take a step back from social media forums such as Instagram six weeks after giving birth to her daughter Aria.

The mum-of-three had established a social media following by the time Aria was born six years ago, and experienced a pressure she had not felt after giving birth to her older children, Tyler, aged ten, and Lucas, aged 12.

When the boys were born she had not yet started her parenting blog, Susan K Mann, and felt an additional pressure to post snapshots of her life following the birth of her daughter.
