And now to look at what's going on around town, the 36th Annual Yankee Doodle Days kick off is Wednesday in Grand Ledge. The festival runs through Sunday and will feature food, music and a memorial 5K. The annual parade kicks off Saturday afternoon followed by fireworks that night.
