Shocking photographs show how an entire city has been almost completely cut off by flood water as torrential downpours continue to batter Britain.

Parts of Worcester are completely submerged after the River Severn burst its banks over the weekend.

New Road cricket ground, Worcester Racecourse and various riverside walks could all be seen under several feet of water following the deluge of bad weather.

Astonishing aerial images taken today (Mon) capture the scale of the flooding in the city, where water levels peaked at 4.56 metres.
