Critics Give The Shaft To 'Shaft'

There is a new 'Shaft' film hitting theaters. The movie manages to be both a franchise sequel and a reboot.
It's a reboot of the 1971 classic film 'Shaft.'
It's also a sequel to the 2000 reboot film 'Shaft.'
To make it even more confusing, the original 'Shaft', Richard Roundtree comes back to reprise his role from the original 1971 film.
ComicBook.com's Kofi Outlaw gave the movie three out of five stars, calling it amusing but forgettable.
Critics have been lukewarm on the film.
