St-Jean-Baptiste Replaced By Summer Solstice Festival

For the first time, the Sud-Ouest borough of Montreal is set to host a weekend-long Festival, “Summer Solstice Festival”, to celebrate the arrival of summer from June 22-24. The centrepiece of the festival, according to its website, will be the Fête nationale of Quebec, la Saint-Jean-Baptiste. However, this news provoked intense backlash from people across the province.
