According to Business Insider, NASA thinks it will cost between $20 billion and $30 billion to put humans back on the moon by 2024.
NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine said that money would come on top of NASA's existing budget.
The money would be spread out over five years as part of the ambitious plan to build a base for humans on the moon.
The plans for the moon are part of the goal of reaching Mars.
NASA would use the Moon to build a base that can be used for Mars missions.
Bridenstine said that NASA's goal is to create a space program America can be proud of.
