Summer Reading Programs to Avoid "Brain Drain"

School is out for most kids in our area and summer break is here. There are plenty of activities to keep them busy throughout the summer, but beware of the dreaded "brain drain"! Over these months, children can lose academic skills by not putting them into use. The solution? Milwaukee Public Library's Super Reader Squad! Joining us to discuss their summer reading program is Head of Youth Services for MPL, Kelly Wochinske. For more information on Milwaukee Public Library's Super Reader Program, and their other programs for all ages, visit SuperReaderSquad.org or call (414) 286-3000.
