Brad Dourif first voiced the killer doll Chucky in the 1980s and continued the voice for the next six sequels. Yet for the reboot of “Child’s Play,” the film chose Mark Hamill to voice the scary role. According to Comicbook.com, Hamill recently admitted how intimidated he was to do the role. He said he hasn’t felt such intimidation for a role since he did the Joker. Hamill explained that the premise of the film is different than the original and therefore, has a different voice.
