The actor has signed on to star in a remake of **Scrooged**.
Hart will update the 1988 Christmas classic, which was based on Charles Dickens’ **A Christmas Carol**.
The original starred Bill Murray.
Hart was fired from hosting the Oscars earlier this year after his homophobic tweets from 2009-2011 resurfaced.
