According to Reuters, a former sheriff’s deputy will soon be released from jail, after being arrested for his actions during a mass shooting last year.
Scot Peterson, a former deputy with the Broward County Sheriff's Department, will be released on bond.
Peterson was assigned to Stoneman Douglas High School in south Florida, when a gunman attacked the school in February, 2018, killing 17 students and faculty.
