CNN reports President Trump marked D-Day's 75 anniversary in Normandy, France.
In his speech, he described how the legacy of US troops continued beyond the war, saying: "In the decades that followed, America defeated communism, secured civil rights ... and then kept on pushing to new frontiers." Trump then concluded his speech by thanking again the Allied nations, as well as the US troops. He returned to his seat to a warm round of applause, greeting President Macron and his wife Brigitte.
