"Dark Phoenix" is the latest "X-Men" movie.
The film has received the worst reviews of all X-Men films.
Critics and fans who have seen the film are supremely disappointed in it.
The movie was also postponed twice to undergo significant reshoots.
And, yet, the film is still being decimated by critics.
Was the movie always doomed to fail?
Fox Studios might have suspected the movie would flop in the US.
Business Insider reports the film dropped the 'X-Men' designation from its title in the US.
