The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration announced that global carbon dioxide levels recorded last month were the highest they've been since NOAA started recording them more than half a century ago. According to HuffPost, May is typically the month when carbon dioxide levels are at their highest. This year's measurements follow a seven year trend of concentrations steeply rising.
