NBC26 Storm Shield weather forecast
After a cool start to June with highs in the 60s.....warmer & more humid weather moved into the area today & is here to stay!! Tonight, we'll have to see what develops in the evening, but the main batch of showers and T'storms looks to be later tonight with a slowly weakening batch of thunderstorms approaches from the NW. SPC has N.E.W. under a slight & enhanced threat for severe weather with damaging winds being the main threat. Wednesday will still be relatively warm, though turning much cooler lakeside during the afternoon as winds turn NE. Sun & clouds will prevail with just a chance of a few scattered showers/storms. Highs will be in the 70s & 80s but falling as winds turning to the NE during the afternoon. Thursday and Friday look nice as high pressure builds in from the west. High temps will be in the upper-70s to around 80°. Saturday looks breezy and warm, but dry with highs near 80°. We may hold off the chances of a T'storm until Sunday with highs in the mid/upper-70s.
