Director David Lynch Will Get Honorary Oscar

David Lynch has been nominated for four Academy Awards.
He's never won.
On Monday, it was announced that Lynch will receive an honorary Oscar.
Uproxx reports that Lynch will be honored for bringing the absurd and unsettling into the mainstream.
Lynch's most famous projects have been Twin Peaks and Blue Velvet.
Other recipients of honorary Oscars will be Geena Davis, Wes Studi, Lina Wertmüller.
