We will soon be one step closer to a new Las Vegas Golden Knights hockey facility in downtown Henderson. The Henderson Convention Center is set to be demolished on June 3. The new facility, which is estimated at over 25 million dollars, will have a full size rink, a full service restaurant and retail and meeting spaces inside. It is set to open in the summer of 2020. Local business owners are excited about the potential business boom this will bring. The Henderson mayor and city council members will be there today for the demolition, along with the Vegas Golden Knights president, defenceman Deryk Engelland and team mascot Chance.
