A THOUGHT BUBBLE … Sen. TED CRUZ (R-Texas) and Rep. ALEXANDRIA OCASIO-CORTEZ (D-N.Y.) had a moment on Twitter last week, in which they agreed to work together to craft a bill to ban former members of Congress from lobbying. It’s not a new idea -- various members have proposed this over the years. But the pairing of Cruz and AOC was novel. REALITY CHECK: Companies are not going to suddenly decide they don’t need former members of Congress to represent their interests in Washington.
