According to a report by Business Insider, the editor of a Chinese state media outlet claimed that China is preparing to deploy 'major retaliative measures' over the United States' decision to blacklist Huawei. Hu Xijin, editor of the tabloid newspaper Global Times, wrote on Twitter, "China will take major retaliative measures against the US placing Huawei and other Chinese companies on Entity List. This move indicates Beijing will not wait passively and more countermeasures will follow.
