“Captain Marvel” writer Kelly Sue DeConnick and producer Mary Livanos admitted Carol’s movie origin could have gone differently. According to Comicbook.com, there was another take on it that they decided no to go with. DeConnick said she wanted Carol to time travel, save herself and have her source of power come from herself. She said: “ I t was an intentionally feminist reboot.” Livanos said they didn’t want the source of her power to come from a man but be her own decision.
