In the Captain Marvel movie, Carol has a very different best friend than she does in the comics.
In the comics, Spider-Woman played a big part in Carol's life says Comicbook.com.
Producers of the film think she could make an appearance in future Captain Marvel films, but how?
There is one particular obstacle standing in the way of it happening, which is character rights.
Spider-Woman is at her core a Spider-Man universe character, and thus is under Sony's control.
