Beyonce’s 2001 ‘Carmen: A Hip-Hopera’ Comes To Netflix

If you've been been a member of Beyonce's "Bey Hive" since 2001, you may be happy about a new release on Netflix.
MTV’s Carmen: A Hip-Hopera, starring Beyonce, actor Mekhi Phifer, and musicians Mos Def and Wyclef Jean may not have been a box office hit, but the hip-hop meets theater film was a cult classic.
On Thursday, Netflix announced that Carmen will be available on Netflix on June 1.
According to Uproxx, the MTV production was Beyonce's film debut.
