Business Insider reports it's become the first YouTube channel to reach 100 million subscribers.
The achievement comes after PewDiePie pleaded with his fans to stop campaigning for him.
His "Subscribe to PewDiePie" meme was referenced during the Christchurch, New Zealand, shootings.
