According to a report by Reuters, on Wednesday, communities along the swollen Arkansas River in Oklahoma and Arkansas prepared for further flooding, with the mayor of Tulsa urging residents near the city's aging levees to be prepared to evacuate in the event of a 'worst case scenario.' After a week of stormy weather, including violent downpours and deadly tornadoes, two states are experiencing record-breaking floods. The National Weather Service reportedly warned that more rain is forecast and that floods are expected to spread. Patrick Burke, a meteorologist at the NWS Weather Prediction Center, reportedly said, "The rain has been coming fast and furiously and it all has to drain through the rivers."
