This is the moment one of the youngest people to be diagnosed with motor neurone disease got engaged to her sweetheart - who she fell for when he fundraised for a cure. Lucy Lintott, 25, is the youngest person in Scotland with MND and was diagnosed in 2013, aged just 19. Doctors told her she might have just four years to live, and she feared she might never be a wife. The inspirational campaigner threw herself into fundraising for charity MND Scotland, so far raising more £200,000 to help find a cure for the debilitating disease. And she reconnected with now-fiance Tommy Smith, 23, last year, when he did a sponsored head shave for the cause.
