River sewage from Mexico closes California beach

Toxic sewage is keeping people away from a beach in San Diego County. Imperial Beach is now entirely closed to swimmers. The contaminated runoff is coming from Mexico's Tijuana River. Officials say more than 110 million gallons of toxic storm water has flowed north since April. Health officials warn the sewage and other ocean pollutants can lead to infection and illness. The closures come after protesters urged both U.S. and Mexican officials to stop untreated sewage from flowing into the U.S. from the river on rainy days.
