Emilia Clarke Turned Down ‘Fifty Shades Of Grey’ Because Of Nudity

Emilia Clarke appears nude several times in “Game of Thrones” as her character Daenerys Targaryen. Yet Clarke wasn’t fond of getting naked on camera because that’s all that people asked her about. She said: “It’s annoying as hell and I’m sick and tired of it because I did it for the character.” Clarke said this pushback against nudity was the reason she turned down the role for “Fifty Shades of Grey.” Instead the role went to Dakota Johnson who had fun making the successful film.
