Vanity Fair Magazine did a story about Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker.
Director J.J. Abrams said that when he made his first Star Wars film, Episode VII, he felt "beholden" to the series.
Now, with Episode IX, he feels "beholden" to no one.
---I’m going to do the thing that feels right because it does, not because it adheres to something.---
Abrams said Episode IX picks up some time after the end of VIII.
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is expected to hit theaters on December 20th.
