Lawmakers try to prevent hot car deaths

The Hot Cars Act of 2019 would require auto makers to create warning systems that prevent drivers from leaving children inside their cars. Some smart carseats are ahead of the curve: They'll sense when you turn your car's ignition off and beep if a child is still buckled in.
