Review & guidelines: Xiaomi Mi Max 2 Smartphone
Xiaomi Mi Max 2 launched in May this year at a starting price of Rs 16,999. The smartphone is a successor to the company's Mi Max smartphone that was launched last year. The smartphone's key highlight is its 6.44-inch display with a resolution of 1080 pixels by 1920 pixels. Xiaomi Mi Max 2 runs on Qulacomm's 2Ghz octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor.
It has 4GB RAM and 64GB expandable storage (expandable up to 128GB via microSD card). The smartphone runs on Google's Android 7.0 and packs 5300 mAh battery.
For photos, the smartphone has a 12MP primary camera and 5MP selfie camera. Connectivity options in Mi Max 2 include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Infrared, GPS, FM, 3G and 4G. As far as sensors on the phone go, these comprise Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor, Proximity sensor
The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 is a well-designed and well-built device. Its performance is decent and it offers great battery life. If you like to watch videos or read books while on the go then the phone is an absolute pleasure to use.
Its only flaws are the MIUI ROM which lacks some Nougat features and the camera which isn't great in all conditions. If you're looking for a quality device with a solid feel, but you don't like to shell out big bucks, then the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 should be on your wishlist.
