Conservatives in Alabama are taking a stand against the 1973 ruling of Roe v Wade. Alabama’s governor Kay Ivey signed a bill to ban nearly all abortions in the state. The abortion law applies to cases of rape and incest and is the most strict anti-abortion law yet. U.S. abortion rights activists vowed they would go to court to block enforcement of the new law. According to Reuters, the new law has brought abortion in the forefront of the 2020 presidential election.
