Republican majority leader Mitch McConnell might have been a bit early in declaring “case closed” on the Mueller investigation, but Senate Republicans are now ready to bang down the gavel and truly move on from the Russia investigations. Politico reports that with Donald Trump Jr. agreeing to an interview with the Senate Intelligence Committee after a brief but explosive fight over Chairman Richard Burr’s subpoena, Republicans see the committee’s two-year bipartisan investigation into Russian interference winding down.
