Mayor Pete Buttigieg criticized the Democratic Party for using “identity politics” to divide Americans. According to Business Insider, Buttigieg referred to a specch recently given to LGBTQ activists. He said Democrats should use diversity to unite people rather than categorize and divide. Buttigieg said the country has a problem of wanting to belong and that he isn’t worried about Trump’s “fantasy wall.
