According to Reuters, the Brexit debate has stalled into the longest parliamentary session in three centuries.
The library for the House of Commons said that the current UK Parliament is the longest-sitting legislature since the English Civil War, which broke out in the mid-1600s.
Parliamentary sessions usually last a year from spring to spring, but the last election intended to have a government for two years, in order to complete the United Kingdom's exit from the European Union.
