Gizmodo reports Uber drivers went on strike in at least 20 cities around the world on Wednesday.
The drivers came together to demand fairer conditions.
Protestors' grievances included low pay, deactivations without recourse, and an increasing share of their rides being taken as commission fees.
However, drivers don't agree on how to solve the problems.
In New York, there were competing rallies between labor groups, including the Independent Drivers Guild and the New York Taxi Drivers Alliance.
