Kentucky Derby winner Country House will not run in the Preakness Stakes says trainer Bill Mott.
CNN reports this means that there will be no Triple Crown winner this year.
Mott said Country House has developed a cough, saying "it's probably a little viral thing."
In an interview Tuesday morning, Mott was noncommittal about his horse running the Preakness.
Country House was declared the winner of the 145th Kentucky Derby on Saturday after turmoil.
