Reuters reports French President Emmanuel Macron said Monday his government will create new measures to protect biodiversity. Macron told reporters after a meeting with climate scientists that the French government would seek to increase the size of natural areas under protection, and will create tax and budget measures to support biodiversity. He added that he wants the European Union to encourage the financing of sustainable crops and will bring up the issue in talks within the G7.
