Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely were given a lot of freedom with “Avengers: Infinity War” and “Avengers: Endgame.” According to Comicbook.com, parent company Disney only had one request. They said they wanted to bring an end to a chapter in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The two films could be different in tone and “draw from anything” but were required to have Thanos in them. Kevin Feige agreed with this request saying that “Thanos had to be the greatest villain in our movies.”
