According to a report by Reuters, on Friday, Minneapolis city officials announced a 20 million dollar settlement for the family of an Australian woman who was fatally shot by police in 2017, just days after the officer was convicted of crimes associated with her killing. City officials reportedly said that the settlement of the civil suit brought by the family of Justine Ruszczyk Damond, includes 18 million dollars for the family and 2 million dollars to be donated to an anti-gun violence group.
