Prosecuting attorney: Officers followed protocol in officer-involved shooting that left suspect dead

A deputy and a trooper who shot and killed a suspect in January followed protocol and will not face criminal charges, Special Prosecuting Attorney Ric Hertel said. Dearborn County Sheriff's Deputy Brian Weigel and Indiana State Police Trooper Jordan Craig shot and killed a suspect in January after he pointed a gun at them, according to Indiana State Police.
