Almost everyone we know has experienced what it’s like to bump into a solid object at high speed in a video game. There is some crunching, some flying, some breaking and then when you hit the Try Again button, you are at the very beginning. But in real life, car accidents are not so simple.

Take a look at these controlled simulations conducted in Switzerland that show us how terrifying a car crash would be at 160 kilometers per hour (100 mph). Performed by the Dynamic Test Center, this video is a good reminder for those who drive recklessly fast and ignore speed limits.

The Dynamic Test Center services include developments, tests, research and schooling in the field of vehicle and airplane safety, as well as vehicle engineering and accident analysis for their customers.

With more than 40 employees, DTC AG is the largest center of excellence for vehicle safety and vehicle dynamics in Switzerland. Its services are available to anyone interested in taking advantage of them – whether they are from the industry, trade or service sphere or the authorities. Their employees have first-class technical training and are your point of contact when it comes to complex questions and problems with regard to air, rail and road safety.

The future of car crash testing is digital and does not include real cars. Until it’s fully developed and we have videos of it, watch this terrific test and comment your reaction!
