Fox News host Sean Hannity was far more critical.

"Does anyone actually believe that? Does anyone actually believe that Barack Obama was all set to endorse him and then Joe stopped him?" he asked Thursday night on "Hannity."

"Well, let not your heart be troubled, Joe, because the big, coveted endorsement is already rolling in, like from conspiracy TV darling disgraced attorney Michael Avenatti."
